The location was excellent and perfect - walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. Plus, it was near Convenience Store, Liquor Store, Takeaway Store, and night club. The attached restaurant offered tasty dishes, and the breakfast was wonderful.

Easy and unbeatable location in Upper Hutt, close enough to clean establishment and Totara Lodge on two separate occasions and 2 restaurants a bottle store dairy. Tasty food in the café for breakfast.

Our stay at this lodge was fantastic! The receptionist, Angela, was extremely helpful and allowed us to check in early. She even provided us with keys to a room that wasn't ready yet, so we didn't have to come back after our event. The location was convenient, and there were plenty of nearby places to eat. The bed was comfortable, and the unit was warm and cozy. a lovely place to stay.
We felt really comfortable during our stay, with no complaints at all.

Its in a handy location for me as far as I am is concern. Handy to my family home and handy from the rail station.

The restaurant was great for good meals and friendly service, I tried simple dishes. A handy kitchenette was complete with coffee/tea makers, a fridge, and a cooker. The hotel had an excellent location just next door to Trentham Racecourse.

We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of our room at Totara Lodge. The attention to detail was evident, and the room smelled fresh and inviting. The layout of the unit was well-designed, especially the spacious bathroom with a decent-sized shower. We also appreciated the proximity to restaurants and cafes in the area. Despite a few drawbacks, like the small bed and noise from neighboring rooms, we found our stay overall comfortable and convenient. We definitely recommend this hotel for a weekend getaway.

The hotel is conveniently located opposite a train station, making it an ideal base for travelers exploring the city. The frequent trains make it very easy to get around. there are a couple of good restaurants and a bottle store nearby. The rooms are spacious and very clean, and the staff are accommodating and friendly. The units have functioning air conditioning and offer excellent shower pressure.
Noise levels can be an issue, especially for guests sleeping in rooms near the bar or courtyard area.
